I plan on attending the picnic on Saturday. I'll be packing my son's baseball equipment, too. I think there will be a space to have a game if we want. (Kenn, what do you think about this?) So if you have a glove, baseball, bat, football, basketball, etc bring it. If we can find our basketballs and football, I'll bring them too. Hope to see you all there. Dianne

I also work Saturday but could get there about 4:30. I am trying to talk my nephew into coming up. He is having surgery the 29th and needs to see people on the lossing side for support. Is it worth coming from Milford so late? Will things still be going on? Let us know please!!!!!! I get off work at 3:00. See all lighter. Joanne

Banning Park is on Maryland Avenue (Rt 4) near Newport. There are probably better directions than this (jump in here someone) but here goes: Take I-95 exit Newport - Rt 4 (East?) up the hill, Rt 4 bends to the left and Banning Park is on the right - across the street from the church. (Sorry these are so bad!) The time is 1-7pm Sat 9/24/05. I'm coming early and leaving about 4pm or so. I believe late is fine. Kenn asked: Bring a side dish for 5-10 people. Bring lawn chair as seating is limited. Don't ask medical questions of the Drs as they are there to socialize. Rain or shine, it is in the pavillion. Hope this helps, sorry the directions are so, so bad. Hoping someone else jumps in with specifics. Dianne

Easiest way to banning park is from I95 take Rt 141 N (Newport) exit, instead of taking the Newport ramp from 141, take the next exit (Boxwood Rd) go up to the light at the GM plant and make a right. Go straight down that road past Conrad School to the light at Rt4. Go straight thru light and entrance to Banning Park is on the right. Easiest way, 1 turn and your there! If you're heading from the opposite direction (like the 202 area) take 141 S take the exit after you cross over Kirkwood Highway. Go up to the light & make a left onto Newport-Gap Pike. Go to next light and make a left onto Boxwood Rd (at the overpass). Go straight down Boxwood Rd., past Conrad and thru light at Rt.4. Banning Park is on the right just past the Rt. 4 light. Dee

Dianne, Thanks for your postings on the subject of the picnic, if everyone scrolls down to the points that you made regarding the Drs. Attending, lawn chairs etc.. everything will turn out great. Everyone should know the picnic is from 1 to 7 pm regardless, so if you have to wor****il 4pm, please plan on attending. We have the pavilion reserved exclusively, The Name of the pavilion is named Banning, Everything will be decorated Red, White and Blue, so you still can come and enjoy the fesitivities, their will be several door prizes given away and most wont be raffled off until around 6pm. You get one raffle ticket per person when you arrive. Also, their will be a table set up for a clothing swap, so i am sure many have items that someone else can benefit from. As for the baseball equipment, as long as no one else has reserved the baseball diamonds in advance, we are free to use them, I have thought if anyone was interested, perhaps someone could bring a volleyball and net, horseshoes, etc.. I know for a fact their is a Huge, Swing Set and Jungle gym next to our Pavilion as well. One last thing, i have been in contact with someone i met at the support meeting this past saturday, Kevin Sirman and he is organizing a representative from profect.com who is supposed to bring free samples of their new protein drink thats less then 3 ounces, with 25 grams of protein
