Well had some trouble, went to see Dr. Peters for my first check up on 9/7, 19lbs down, he removed some of the staples...but had to go back sooner then I would have liked 9/15, inscion was infected in some spots and alot of drainage, Dr. W, she fixed me up re-opened small areas in my inscion took out the rest of the staples and stuffed me with gauze. I can't bear to look down just yet, i mean it's a hole to the inside..ewwwww My PCP changed my antibotics, so we will see if these work better for me. I go to see Dr Peters on 9/21, we will see how that goes. I am off my Diabetes meds for now, been off for about a wk, so far the sugars are running pretty good, still a lil' higher then the "normal" person. I still am taking the blood pressure meds, but it seems okie, I think i could get off of it soon, weird I didn't have to take it until after my surgery. My liver enzymes are still high, says my PCP I don't think anyone knows why just yet. I am getting in all my vitamins and protein, i need to improve my fluids and food intake, the fluids I am doing better, but the food..ugh, sometimes just the smell makes me wanna or i could be starvin' looking forward to something i normally would like, then it gets put in front of me and I am like turning green. HAHA Tell me am I normal or have I gone ??? -Christina

Christina, You are normal. I think we all went thru that at first. I thought I wanted something but when I put it in front of me I didn't want it or would just take a bite. I have thrown away so much food. Something I thought I would never do. Hopefully all is ok when you go back to the Drs. I had open and did packings twice a day for 4 months, then had skin graft to close up my incision. That is still healing. I will keep you in my prayers. I would still do it over again. I am 5 months out and down 99 lbs. See you lighter. Joanne
