Well we are two weeks away from the MS150 Bike to the Bay (Oct 1). Team Gastric consists of two cyclists, with less than one stomach between them. Dwight and I have done several 50 ,60, and 75 mile rides this year in anticipation of a great ride. We are ready to roll. Dwight will be less than 10 months out when he rides the 150 with the team and he is already at his normal weight. Awesome sense of pride for my older brother! I wil be celebrating my two year anniversary on this ride (since my surgery was Oct. 6, 2003) and I am also at the normal BMI for weight and height. I will be riding for several people that have MS, and a dear spinning buddy who adopted me almost eighteen months ago and just passed away from cancer last week. She taught me that life is a blessing and her memory motivates me when I hit the wall. My life is outstanding and it is great to have the opportunity through this surgery to gain so many new lifelong friends. Spinning and cycling, Rob

Rob, what you and Dwight are doing is awesome! Typically I can be found at the middle school stop serving lunch Since I have been out of work these past few weeks from my surgery I'm not sure if our sign up at work is over and if I will be there or not. Anyhoooooo Are you coming to the picnic? If so, make sure you see me, I'll have a donation for you! Keep up the great work you look awesome and I can tell you feel awesome! It's a great thing to see Gigee

I hope to see you guys at the finish line... I too will be doing the Bike to the Bay again for my 2nd year. I went to Dr Wynn last week for my 3 year check up and she and the staff gave me a nice donation once again. She won't be doing the ride this year. So, she said she will have to live through us now for the Bike to the Bay!

I will be riding in honor of Maria Perreta (whom had gastric bypass surgery) and for Maria's sister who both are living with MS.
