Hurricane Relief Suggestion

Some info for donating . I talked to my friend Em yesterday, her daughter was sent to Gulf Port with our local Red Cross Chapter to help with the clean up. She gave her mom a list of things they REALLY need badly down there. Just thought I'd pass the info along here and maybe you all could pass it on to other communities you belong to, or keep it in mind if you find yourself making a donation. She said they have tons of clothes and plenty of food ( at least in the Gulf Port area ) the military is doing a good job distributing that. Official supply lines are bogged down and she said that individual efforts of people with trucks are getting through MUCH better ( we have 3 local guys here that organized efforts and are heading down there today with 4 trucks ) Needed badly are: Bleach, like, pallets of bleach. Sanitizers, disinfectants, rubbing alcohol, peroxide... Laundry detergent, dish soap... Cleaning supplies, mops, buckets, brooms... Any yard tools like rakes and shovels for debris removal. Building supplies, hammers, nails Thank you, and pass it on!
