Finally down below 200 pounds!
Having just had my surgery on 1/3/2005, I'm still in shock at just how fast this weight loss is happening. I just hit 198 pounds. Getting under 200 pounds seems like an impossible dream. I am very happy!
This has been a wonderful summer of going places and being active! It was wonderful not to be the fattest thing in a room or to be the one sweaty and out of breath. I hope never to experience those challenges again.
New challenges include getting use to my new figure. Yes. I actually have a figure. I have to purchase a whole new Fall/Winter wardrobe and I have to do it in "regular" stores. For the Big Girls, just wait until you're too skinny to shop in Lane Bryant, Catherines and the Avenue! You will be truly amazed!
The other challenge with my new shape is the "tube boobs". For the pre-op Big Girls, your boobs will change shape. I'm beginning to understand why post-op women were talking about needing breast implants. I wouldn't even discuss it before my surgery. Now, I've started to do some research. It's going to be necessary.
Thanks to all of you who were so patient and wonderful to me pre-op and post-op!
Take care!
Cassandra

Cassandra, all I can say is "GO GIRL." You are lucky to be tall too. I'll bet you are looking fabulous & pretty slim now. I'm sooo proud of you and your awesome journey. It is truely amazing isn't it? A miracle and a blessing all wrapped up in one. The hardest thing is making the decision to have the WLS don't you think?
Please take your time on the Plastics, you are gonna go down more and everything will keep shifting all over if you are exercising. 2 yrs is reccomended. I know everyone is anxious to get everything lifted and tucked immediatly to match their new size. Be patient. No hurry. Keep researching and let us know your findings.
