Very Personal Question!!!!
Please tell me that relations with my husband will improve after wls. He is always wanting me to be on top and I am too embarrassed to tell him no, but it is toooo much work for me up there. It is not easy to move all this weight up and down for 15 min or more at times. I am praying that will get easier, it has to, I feel bad and I never tell him how worn out I am or that later my back and legs hurt. He thinks everything is fine, but it is not. Sorry if this is tmi, I just want to hear that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Something to look forward to, if you know what I mean...lol. I can't believe I am even talking about this, but who else am I going to ask?
Robyn
Robyn.. It does get better... guaranteed!! But, maybe you should discuss this with your husband. Explain to him how you feel now, with the added knowledge that it will get better AND easier.. but for now, perhaps another position would be best? He's sure to understand, and not want you to be in pain!!! If you really can't bring this up to him... perhaps communication needs to be worked on. After all, this is a very important, and personal part of a relationship, and you should not be afraid or embarassed to discuss it with the person you are spending your life with! Good luck, and I hope all goes well for you!!
Don't get me wrong. My husband is great and most times we choose another position. It is just that I know he gets tired of doing all the work and I try to accomodate him when I can. I don't want him to know how hard it is for me because I am embarrassed that it is so hard. It has just been this last 25 lbs or so that I have gained, they have really dragged me down to this point. I just want to know that it will get better. Thanks for responding.

Ah yes... that embarrassing question!! Been there done that! However, You are much braver than I. My poor husband never got that treat because I was way to emabarrassed to do something like that. But now, I'll be 3 years out on 9/11 and my husband thinks he's got a "new" woman at home! This chick ain't shy NO more!! It will get better... I promise!
Good Luck!

You are a very brave girl for asking this question!!!! But I know all of us who have not had surgery yet have been there!!! In my case I have 35lbs on you and my husband does not have a "death wish" so he does not even ask!!! and unless I want to be a widow I happly stay on the bottom! This is one of the things that my husband brought up about being a perk after surgery though! Now if I can just get approved for surgery!!! WATCH OUT HONEY!!!!
