Thursday!
Today I filled in my first time sheet, and I should get my first paycheck on Sept 2, the day after my surgery.. wow, new life AND money LOL... waht will happen next? ? ? ?
So glad you asked because I have the answer! My daughter's urine dip came back with only trace levels of blood in it this time!!! The protein count is gone too, that means she's almost back to normal! Her father is supposed to plan an appointment with the nephrologist for 2 weeks from now, but haven't heard about a date yet, but overall, it's wonderful.
Oh, for those who don't know about engineering, there is billable time where the company can charge the clients, and there is overhead where the company sucks up your pay. When I was hired, they expected me to be solely on overhead up until my surgery and to start getting into billable work after I returned. Fortunately for me, I'm skilled enough to have managed to be billable 50% of my first timesheet! It's awesome, believe me. My supervisor (for lack of a better name for him) looked at my timesheet today to approve it and said "wow, I hadn't realized you were billable for that long, but now that I'm looking over it, yeah you really did do that." What a great feeling! I didn't have to even split my billable time with training time (which we expected to do). Ah... I feel good about myself, can't you tell?
Hugs to you all!

Which world do you work in Debbie? The medical field where you understood about the urine dip or the billing world where you didn't need an explanation about billable time vs overhead? LOL... You have no clue how many times I've been explaining billable time over the past few days when I've told people "I was billable today" they just didn't get it. I think it makes sense, but then again, I've only had jobs that were like this and my X hubby had the same kind of work.
Hugs
