Hospital telephone charge!!!!!!

I just opened my Verizon bill. I have a $10.30 charge on it from TMS that says Hosp Tel Chg! WTF!!!!! I didn't make any phone calls from my hospital room. Half the time the phone was so far away from me that I couldn't even answer it! I had my cell phone with me and that's the phone I made my calls on (all 2 of them!!!). How the Hell can they charge my home phone number for calls I didn't make! this happen to anyone else? Dee

We got a final notice bill yesterday! We never got any others. My husband was pissed. It was going to call today. I didn't use the phone either. I'll let you know what happens Ellen

I just called the billing number for TMS and I complained about the charges and they asked me if I had authorized the phone to be turned on and I said no I do not remember anything that specifically notified me about telephone usage, that I thought that any outside calls that were made on the phone would be charged to my room and that I had my cellphone with me and that's what I used. They said that they would issue me a credit. I think it's a scam just to get more money. They were very quick to issue a credit. Dee

Hi Dee, I wanted to say Elissa helped me with this last time when I experienced the same thing. There was a number that I called and explained this to them that no one told me there was a charge for the phone. She waived the fee for me and then told me whenever you stay overnight at the hospital that they charge for the phone use. See if you can call them and find out who you need to talk to.
