Keep your fingers crossed!

BCBS of DE requires a "predetermination" in order to cover the cost of the various tests, etc., to get approved for WLS. My documents are currently being reviewed for predetermination. Please keep your fingers crossed for me, as I'd really like the money back that I've spent so far! After predetermination, though, Dr. Gagner will have to submit ALL the documents & test results to BCBSDE for approval. So, I'll have another fun time waiting for approval. So, if you've got any good vibes to throw my way, please feel free! Bronwen

Good luck to you! I have BC/BS Federal and had no problem getting approval. From the date of my first consult to my date of surgery was exactly 2 months. Where are you having surgery? I had mine in Havre de Grace Maryland at Harford Memorial Hospital. I live in Dover DE. Jean

I'm getting it done at Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY, with Dr. Gagner. I'm getting (keeping those fingers crossed) the Duodenal Switch, so I have to go a bit further - no one around here does it. I'm in North Wilmington (LOL - it's soooo big that I have to make the distinction, right?). Bronwen
