80 Lbs down and counting....
Hi All,
Its been a long time since I have posted but I have had a GREAT week week and wanted to share....
I hit the 80 pound mark 2 days ago.
I had to get new clothes because my old ones were falling off of me.
I went to Strawbridge's and purchased size 12!! It was bad, I was wearing size 18 when I was shopping... guess I was really pushing it. I ran out of clean clothes and just pulled out a pair of pants. Needless to say, I have now taken those pants out of the rotation
I feel great! I am so glad that I got the surgery done! I have been keeping a food diary on the advice of "E" (I was the one talking about the cherry water ice issues) and it has really help! Thanks for telling me about it.

Elissa,
Thanks! When we were at the healthy beginnings meeting and you were talking about the diary (June's Meeting - outside) I thought that I better give it try. I like it. I count protein & veggies. I make sure that I keep all "snacks" to a taste. I don't eat sugar and never "push" it. Also, I am one of those people who stand on the scale everyday (I don't stress out) to make sure that the scale is going down. Its a great feeling watching it go down. I don't stress over the scale when it is not moving. It's a part of life.
I viewed your profile when I got home that night and was proud of you for all that you have been able to do.
You are a role model for us all! Thank you for always being such a great support to us all!

Hi Jen,
Believe it or not, I love to work out, love to eat well, and take care of myself. I used to lift weights, bike, etc... on a regular basis but when the pain hit me they put me on some meds that caused a 100lb weight gain and near comatose existance and I couldn't function let alone walk or exercise, so losing this weight for me is kinda a must. I don't like being where I am now, miss being very active and healthy!

Well what a good job you are doing Jen! 80lbs is great! Yes the diary helps alot. I get on an off that wagon all the time. I don't lose so I jump back to diary. I wish I could be more faithful. Weight loss is very slow right now and I feel I have so much more to go. Keeping focus is the key and I need to get off the goal! I think it may be an impossible one for me and just take the loss I have and be HAPPY! I am for the most part. Thanks for sharing!
PS. Summer is almost over and I have not made it to Rita's shame on me! Although I did go to Bruster's twice...Ahhhh What heaven!
