Again, trying to warm up ... hubby thinks I have jumped off the deep end. Saying it is NOT COLD. But here I sit with a sweater and still chilling!!! These recipes are WONDERFUL!!! Hope you all enjoy them both!!! Hugs, Tammy Deep Dark Hot Chocolate (My personal favorite) (This also makes great cold chocolate milk - no heating required) 1 Tbs unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder (like Hershey's European - personally use Droste Chocolate - YUM) 1 Tbs + 2 tsp Splenda 2 Tbs ho****er 1 cup skim milk or carb countdown Place the cocoa powder and Splenda into a microwaveable mug. Add the ho****er and stir until smooth. Pour in the milk and stir again. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes or until hot. (Do not boil). Flavor variations: Try adding 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla, orange, or raspberry extract or DaVinci Syrup. I have also been known to indulge with a squirt of whipped cream on top!!!! YUMMY!!! Oh, and BTW if you don't plan to get your milk too hot you can add protein powder right after you mix the water and cocoa powder. I usually add a small bit of cold milk to that mixture and get it nice and smooth before adding the warmed milk. SECOND RECIPE Mexican hot chocolate: 1 cup skim milk or carb countdown --- scalded, not boiled (top of stove not microwave - tastes so much better this way) 1 tbsp baking cocoa (again, I use Droste) pinch of ancho chili powder pinch of cinnamon 2-3 Splenda packets This one is really good also!!! Oh the possibilites!!!
