TT and BCBC of DE
hi, all!
it's been at least 6 months since my last update to my profile...shame, shame!!
all in all, life is good. i have maintained my weight around the 185/190 mark...flucuates with the tide and my monthly..u know how it goes.
i am now contemplating (SERIOUSLY) a tt--would love a thigh/butt lift and the bat wings removed, too--and could u throw in a breast lift, too, doc?? but, alas, i believe the tt is the only thing covered by insurance. i was referred to a local surgeon by one of our good amos friends (hi, tina!) and finally gathered up the nerve today to call the office for an appt. but wouldn't u know it, luck was not on my side as they are closed on fridays! (da*n, da*n, da*n...where's the 'stamping foot' emoticon??)
in any case, i think the apprehension on my part is getting my hopes up with not knowing what bcbs will say. (didn't i already go thru this once with wls and everything went fine???) so, here i sit...ecstatic with the results of wls...but disgusted with this hanging, ugly panni. ugh!
so...my question to all out there...does anyone have any info on bcbs of de and what their requirements are for approving a tt for 'reconstructive' reasons? i.e., will i need skin rash documentation? is there a minimum weight loss requirement (such as a 100 lbs or more--i never quite made it to the century mark), must i be 18 months out..oh, wait! i've got that one! lol
thanx for listening, guys...hope all is well in the de amos world!!
(((hugs)))
