It went pretty good Bonnie, thanks for asking. I was still nervous when I got there. I guess the impact of the whole situation is starting to sink in. It really is a life changing surgery. Barix Clinics really is a nice place. All of the chairs and doorways in the whole place are extra large. I don't need special chairs but I have had some that I just fit in. I was able to sit in their chairs and put my purse and all my papers in the chair beside me...lol. They also had an extra large blood pressure cuff and when she put it on my arm, it slid all the way down to my wrist. The nurse laughed and I think it is the first time that I haven't felt like the biggest person in the place. That place actually made me feel like I am already smaller. I met with a surgeon but I think I am going to try and find another one. Some of the dr's at the hospital offer laproscopic surgery, just not the one I talked to. So, I might try and see if I can get in with a different surgeon because I would really like to have it done laproscopically. I need to heal asap so I can get back to chasing Chloe all over the house...lol. So, now I have to have a psych evaluation and I will be waiting on word from Barix concerning my insurance. Hey Robyn, I assume you are preop. You said that you were going to look for a new surgeon. My surgeon was Dr. Irgau & he was excellent. He only does lapriscopically unless he has no other choice but to do it the other way. Definitely go meet with them. Dr. Peters & Dr. Wynn are excellent too. their # is 302-892-9900...good luck Kim
