Gastric Bypass/Lapband Picnic

Hello Everyone! This is a Friendly reminder that the 1st Annual Gastric Bypass/Lapband Picnic is to be held on Saturday, September 24th 2005 at Banning Park Pavilion in Banning Park, located right off Maryland Avenue in Wilmington, Delaware. If your interested in attending, please bring a covered dish for 5 to 10 people. Perhaps you have a recipe you like to share. Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Chicken, Water, Crystal Light Iced tea & Pink Lemonade will be provided by Kenn. This is open to all those who have had Gastric Bypass/Lapband Surgery or about too, as well as Family. Rain or Shine, from 1:00pm to 7:00pm, Indoor Restrooms Available. If you like to Volunteer to Help set up or Breakdown, organize with Activites, Welcoming attendees, games etc, or would like more information, please contact Kenn at 302-395-1698 or by email at [email protected]. Picnic Flyers will be available at The Surgeons Office, PMRI, the August & September Support Meetings, or i can mail one to you. If you like bring a before & After Picture with you, so you can show everyone, please do. Directions will be provided upon request.

I plan on being there and am putting off having my son's 6th birthday party to go! I missed our group's reunion meeting and I don't want to miss this. I'll definately need directions. Kenn, I am sorry that the picnic is the going to be the same day as the "Walk to Obesity." I have volunteered to be at a table for info that day as an Obesity Help Chapter Leader in Philadelphia. It means alot to me. Maybe next year. Elissa Hart

Hi Kenn, I plan to go, but not sure how much help I'll be since I'll be a few weeks out of surgery... still in "puree" stage... bleck... but I'll find something to make that's WLS friendly!!! Huggles Rachel
