Thats great Rachel!!!!! I think the pre-testing is a great thing because I have a friend who had wls 2 years ago, and while pre-testing her, they found out she had heart problems, they did a precudure and she was just fine. So hang in there, and before you know it you will be pain free!!!! Take care, Dana

I know it is, at least, now I do... it may seem like a hassle, but the whole process is about getting healthy, so why not find out all that you can and get as healthy as you can right? Hugs! Rachel

Well, I'm glad to hear you slept well. It should become even better as you get accustomed to your CPAP. The home healthcare agency should have given you a humidifier with your initial setup, but that's neither here nor there. At least your getting one. Good luck with everything. Give us a call if there is anything we can help you with.

Okay... gotta ask... are you my flirty Steve that I love so much from the sleep center? LOL Dr Ismail did order a humidifier, finally, so I'm waiting for them to deliver it... I only managed 2 hours last night the congestion got so bad... so the pain is worse today than it had been... bleck. Hoping that I can get through four+ hours tonight though, that would be wonderful! Huggles! Rachel

Me? Flirt? Yes, I did your sleep studies. I see your date is coming soon, congrats! I'm sorry the pain is getting bad for you. I hope the time goes by quickly so you can get some relief. I'm glad you received your humidifier. It should help, but you may have to experiment with the temperature setting over a few days/few weeks until it is comfortable to you. Here is a hint. If you sleep in a cool room, find some sort of insulating material to wrap your tubing in (some people wrap the tubing with foam or cotton batting and sew a sheath to cover it. Use velcro to secure the sheath to the tubing). This will prevent rainout from occurring in the tube (accumulation of condensation). The accumulation can cause puddles to form in the tube and you'll hear gurgling sounds if it occludes the tubing or you may get a face full of water. I hope this helps. I'll talk with you soon.

Yippie, got the humidifier! And yes, you are a shameless flirt! If your wife knew what I know... hehe... I have one major problem with the humidifier... I have issues signing a paper saying that I've been shown how it works and instructed on how to use it when I haven't been... The humidifier came UPS today, I had to even open the box myself *gasp* the horror... anyway, I plan to call them tomorrow and tell them I did get the unit but I won't sign saying I've recieved instruction on how to use it. I tend to feel funny about signing false statements! Huggles... hope the cpaps don't keep ya too busy! Rachel

I couldn't agree with you more. Always make sure you are taught how to operate and clean the equipment.

Glad you are here checkin up on all of us, it's nice to know you actually care about the people you see in there... and yes, I'll "officially" say that too if you need me to! Huggles Rachel
