OT - Update on my back surgery
Two days after my back surgery and I finally feel up to updating. I promise to be short in this one. I am doing well. I have regained, though slight, some movement in the toes of my right foot. This is very encouraging to me and what my future may hold.
I can thank all of you dear dear people enough for your love and support and encouragement. A very long winded update is now on my profile - some of it even has some humor that only a WLS patient would understand. I hope you enjoy it
I love you all so much! Thank you again!

Normalacy is definitely questionable in my life . I have accepted so much of this Ellen. It took a long time and it wasn't until the day before the surgery that I could even use the real word for the numbess I have been talking about. Partial Paralysis. That was a hard pill to swallow. And it was the one that made me cry when I could move my toes. There is hope. And I think there is a lot more hope than he wanted to give me.
I have accepted the fact that I will wear a brace. I have embraced that and am being fitted for it on Friday. I have accept it will take up to a year before we know for sure. And I have now refused to think I will be like this always. I will work harder than I have on anything in my life to make sure PT is successful and I am as good as I can be when this is over.
This new attitude has made me excited.
And the love and support from you and many on here has done nothing more than help that excitment grow and grow.
I can't thank you enough.

Gigee,
I'm so glad to see that you're up and spreading your wonderful humor about. You have no idea what an inspiration you are to the rest of us. Just focus on the many blessing you have in your life right now and the rest will fall in where it belongs. Keep working toward your goals and do everything the doctors and therapists tell you to do.
