OK last monday I posted that I was down 16 pounds. I didn't loose anything all week (feeling very discouraged). I weighed myself yesterday morning and I'd lost 2 pounds since Sunday (yay!). Well I weighed myself again this morning and I've lost another 1 1/2 pounds! That makes 19.5 total! I absolutely cannot believe this! Before it would take me 3 months of diet pills and laxatives to loose that much weight!!! I think I'm going to hit that 30 pound mark for my 1 month checkup. I'm just amazed! Dee

Wow Dee, that is great news. Isn't it so exciting to lose weight? I can't wait to have my surgery and start my weight loss too. Keep up the good work, you are doing great. Robyn

Dee, You are doing fabulous. It shows already. Keep it up. This is all part of the roller coaster ride. Try to stay away from the scale. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Isn't it exciting! And I found by watching my clothes even when the scales weren't moving that they fit differently! Changes every day, it's an amazing thing. I am overjoyed for you!!!! Gigee

Thank you everyone for your support and kind words. My daughter (who's only 7) kept telling me that I was "getting skinny" but I just don't see it yet. I guess it's because I stare at this mug in the mirror every day and don't pay any attention to to changes. Elissa, I kept off the scale this morning (you have no idea how hard that was!!! LOL). I don't want to be a scale ***** Dee

Dee, little steps. Your body will morf, but your mind will lag behind. I look in the mirror at the gym sometimes, and I see an obese lady looking back. But I know that I am in smaller size now than when I was in high school. That is why the support meetings are soooo important. You can progress in your journey, encounter some strange things, feelings and events and know that someone else has experenced it. Sharing this will make you feel a little more normal. Aint't it great to be normal???? ((HUGS)) Elissa the scale ***** Sometimes I get on in the AM & again in the PM. I really gotta get it out of the house. I am such a scale slave. This coming from someone who never owned a scale cause they stopped at 250. My highest wt was 376.
