I finally did it!!!!

Long before wls I had a front tooth break off. Lets just say I am a chicken when it comes to the denist. Well, after wls and my hair makeover my Mom starts on me. She said.....Dana you have worked so hard to get your surgery, then you get your makeover. And you look wonderful, until you smile. So you need to get to the denist and get it fixed. Well, I kept putting it off, then a couple weeks ago I went, to my family denist, he refferred me to a Endodontics Doctor, and I called yesterday for an appointment, I will be going Aug 11 for a root canal then they will cap my tooth. I can't wait until it is over, Did I say I was a big chicken. But it sure will be nice to smile again, because here lately I have alot to smile about. Well, I will post again when August 11 gets closer cause I will need a little push to actually go. Take care everyone, Happy Friday Dana

Dana, I know exactly how you feel about the dentist. My dentist will actually call in a script for valium for me, and that is just to have my teeth cleaned. Your mom is right (but aren't they always!!) you have accomplished so much, why not go for the WHOLE PACKAGE? You'll make out fine, and will come out with a million $$ smile. Bonnie S

Dana I sooo feel ya on the Detist thing I just went through panic attacks with that a few weeks ago. But you will be so happy when its done so good luck and when its all said and done bet ya cant stop smiling lol ... Kristina

Hi Dana, I don't like to go too, But I do like getting my teeth cleaned. Well, when I was 9 years old I broke my front tooth in half and have had caps and crowns since. To me years ago they did a bad job, I don't like to smile to big cause you can see my bad tooth by my gums where the dentist burned away to much gum.They wanted me to get a root canal when I got older and I kept putting it off. Now just lately I have been considering have it done. My check up is due and I'm going to talk to the dentist.Your appt. falls on my daughter birthday 8/11. I really want to know how it goes, cause I really want to have it done. Now a days getting a root canal wasn't like it was done years ago, I've heard. I know i'll be glad once it's over, like everything else you don't like to do. Keep us informed. Bobbie

Hi, Thanks for your support. See if your dentist offers Nitrous Oxide - laughing gas. It will make the world of difference. I hope they do because you will NEVER be afraid of the dentist again. I look forward to going to get the gas - HA HA HA! Pink
