update..........
Good morning all.......................
An update to yesterday's dilema on the upper GI. You all said everything would be O.K., and it was. I had the test with minimal problems. First I had to drink the gaffrin 2 x's and they took xrays. Then I had to drink the barrium 2 x's while they did more x'rays. Then they laid me down for two more xrays. I had to sip the barrium from a straw. STILL O.K. BUT................the Dr wanted two more xrays done, which meant more barrium. I almost lost it on those two sips.
He said there is a narrowing where the esphogus and the new tummy join. Food stays tooooo long and is trying toooo hard to get down, which causes me the pain and barfing. Also, said it will be a tough call for the surgeon to make. Either stretch the opening a little or learn to eat very, very small amounts very very slowly. Dr Peters will make that call when he returns from vacation.
Thanks for listening
