2 week checkup

Went to CHRIAS this morning for my check-up. BP was excellent (haven't taken meds since morning of surgery). According to their scales I'm down 15 pounds (fully clothed, at home in my t-shirt only I'm down 16) I met with Dr Jadali who is one of the new doctors. He was very nice and answered all of my questions. The only problem he saw (and it's a common one for newbies), not getting enough protein in per day. I'm only up to about 50-60 gms per day. My target is 80-90 and I'm working on drinking my protein drinks several times per day. I really like the Nectar Peach Fuzzy Navel and the Cappiccino Protein drinks that I found on bariatriceating.com. I don't miss my coffee anymore. So still no nookie for 4 more weeks ( = my hubby), no outdoor bike riding yet for 4 more weeks, I can swim in about 2 weeks. So for now it's still walk, walk, walk. I finally got to meet Misty (my hero). And I met the bariatric coordinator from Christiana hospital. She was there observing their office procedures in order to better coordinate patient care at the hospital. She was very nice too. That's it for now. Dee

Dineen, Congrats on your weight loss! My 2 week check up is next Friday. I feel like I am shrinking!!! Yeah! The Proticcino shakes from PMRI are awesome...it's sorta like a cup of coffee to me. Lisa

Congrats Dee. So glad you are feeling so good. The first thing I did on my 1 month anniversary was get in the pool at the gym. It has been my salvation. I started walking, now I can actually swim about 30 laps. Ain't life grand? ((HUGS)) Elissa
