Back Update

2 neurologists and 1 neuro-surgeon have come to the same conclusion. Surgery. I will be having a bi-lateral L5/S1 discectomy this coming Monday. The news from the surgeon today that I did not like was that even though the symptoms were new, the EMG showed the damage to be old. He said there is not much hope that I will regain that I have lost in my right leg/ankle/foot. Here's hoping we see better results. Please say a prayer! Gigee

Ah what do Dr's know! I have faith in you girlie and you will get the leg to work again! I will be praying everything goes well for you. What hospital....We will need to send in the Clowns! Debbie

This is minimally invasive. I will have a one in*****ision. They call it micro-surgery. I will have it done at neurological surgical clinic early Monday morning and will be home by 5 on Monday. I will be out of work for 2 - 4 weeks. So no clown unless you wanna dress up and come over and visit lol. You are welcome to do that too Gigee

Micro-Surgery....that is good. I like that in and out one day! We can have the clowns come to your home. I know of a person that has a great outfit....It might be a bit big. Surgery will be at a surgical clinic. I will be going home same day. That's the best part. Will be out of work 2 - 4 weeks. PT will start on the ankle at 2 wks and on the back at 4 wks. Thank you Bonnie! Gigee
