Negative Thoughts Equal Disaster

Recently, I recieved an email from a very dear friend of mine (Bonnie) that someone had sent her from the Delaware area. I normally wouldnt respond to such behavior, but i have too. I thought this website was meant as a support system for all of those who chose to have Gastric Bypass, never would i imagine in a million years that someone on here could be so cruel to another person looking for support or to chat. If you can't say anything nice to someone, just kindly say i am not interested. Anyone who suggests to another person "doesnt have a life" I ask each and everyone of you, before your surgery, what kinda of life did you have? Most of us had the surgery for a reason, but it all boils down to the same thing basically. If your going to be critical of someone, look in the mirror first and remember the person you once were. I am proud to say Bonnie is a great friend!

You are a good friend Ken. There are people out there who will try to sabotage us. I bet the person that sent the rude & ugly message did not identify themself. Jealousy, greed, spineless, who knows why? Don't let them do that to you or others. If you post on the internet you have to remember that there are people out there that aren't friendly or nice. I stay away from the main msg boards. Too many negative people out there. I would rather surround myself with positive loving folks. Keep posting Bonnie. We love your enthusiasim dear. Sorry I didn't make it to the PMRI mtg on Saturday to meet you, previous committments. Next one for sure, it will be Monday 7-8 PM on Aug 1, on Weight loss goals and plateaus. Kenn, Bonnie is lucky to have such a great friend. I received 4 nasty emails from someone who would not identify themselves. It really upset me for a while. I then decided that I have worked too darn hard for some idiot to upset me. Hard to understand why someone would want to hurt a member of our group. Kenn, Amen to that. I am so touched that folks I have never met in person have been so supportive. I think this is a great place for support and there's no room for negativity or pettiness. We all have embarked on a great journey that we are taking both separately and together, and we all need each other very much! By the way, I saw Dr. Peters this morning regarding my upset last night, and you and a few others were right on the ball---he said to skip the bird for now and stick with shakes and soup.
