HOLY POSTINGS BATMAN.............
GEEEZZZZZZ, I go away for 1 week and someone lit a fire here on the message board! It took me my entire lunch hour just reading the new posts from last week!
Just got back Sunday night from vacation. All went well except the boat broke down the first 10 minutes we had her out! Had to get towed back to the marina. Oh well, we just drove out on the beach the rest of the week, no biggie! Although now the hubbie is hot to trot for a sal****er boat of our own (the boat we use now is my dad's and it's 15 years old). Damn he's getting expensive! But I love him so now we're looking into sal****er boats (any one out there got one for sale? 18-20 foot, center console, mercury motor preferred). Now he can't complain when I develop my little shopping habit after I loose about 100 pounds or so!!! LOL The house we rented was perfect!!! The owners live next door and they have a son that is close to my daughter's age so they played together almost the entire week. Did lots of fishing and crabbing from the end of the dock. Drove out onto the southpoint beach and swam in the calm waters of Pamlico Sound. I floated on my raft (praying no-one would harpoon me mistaking me for Moby Dick, LOL) and swam across the trough to the sand bar with my daughter. Rode our bicycles around the village and went on a ghost story walking tour at dusk (that was fun). just relaxed for the entire week. Loved it so much we already re-booked the place for next year!
Now I'm back to reality and I'm REALLY GETTING NERVOUS about my surgery next week! Haven't gotten the final approval from BCBS yet. Misty and I are playing phone tag today. I called her to see if she'd received anything yet. Oh well, I'm still going about as if I'm having surgery next wednesday. Taking off from work early tomorrow to get the pre-op testing done over at Christiana. Oh God, my stomach just did a roll on that thought!!! How on earth does anyone sleep the week before their surgery!!! Any suggestions!!!???!!!

Hi Dee,
Congrats on the upcoming date. It will be here before you even know it. Just spend this week relaxing as much as you can. The liquid diet part isn't really that bad, just don't binge too close to the liquid diet date. As for me, I went on a cruise the week before I had surgery, which was on a Monday. So I had my last supper on Friday. But all day I ate very light. My last big meal was on the Tuesday before Surgery. (6days ahead). This was to ensure that my liver was nice and small. /But I did it big time that day. I had the biggest juiciest T-bone steak that was on the ship. My nephews were with me along with my sister They still say" Aunt___",
I can't believe you ate that whole steak. Well that steak would have fed my entire family for two days now. Oh the things we've done all in the name of fun.
This past weekend I had about one-two ounces of a filet off of my husbands steak. Big change.
Maybe take some pictures. You'll never pass this way again. NEVER EVER EVER will you be this heavy again. From this point on it is healthy times, enjoying things that you never thought you would do again. And yes, you will SHOP. I'm glad you're prepared for that. It is everything from undies on out including shoes that change.
Have a great day and we'll be keeping you in prayer as your day approaches.
God Bless,
Mama
Hello Dee,
Just keep very busy, take lots of pictures, take your measurments, wrists ankles, neck, so later on when the scale isn't moving much, you can compare measurments, and trust me you will see a big difference. I am 9months out today. And that reminds me I have to take a picture of myself. I do that every month, and when you put them all together you will be soooooooo amazed.
It sounds like you had a wonderful vacation, just think how great it will be next year. You won't have to worry about being harpooned lol.
Take care, and any questions don't be afraid to ask.
Best wishes, Dana
