Two week check-up
Hi,
I met with Dr. Peters today and found out I lost 20.4 lbs. in the first two weeks. WOW! He said everything was great and I could drive (did't tell him I have been driving for a week! ) and I can go swimming as long as I don't do any cannon balls I went right to my friend's pool and spend the afternoon in it. It was wonderful.

I am so proud of you!! keep up the good work! And, enjoy the swimming!! I was so glad my surgery was in Feb., I would've hated not being able to jump in my mom's pool when I wanted!!!
Just wanted to say congrats!!

Ellen,
WONDERFUL WONDERFUL NEWS!!! Keep up the great work!!!
A strange/cute true story about swimming as a post-op if you don't mind!
As a pre-op, I used to float REALLY well. It took absolutely no effort on my part. My older son (when he was a young boy), laughed and always said it was my "bouys" that held me up! I never gave it a second thought. That is until last year ... I had not been swimming in a LONG time and jumped into the water just like I normally did ... AND SANK straight to the bottom!!! I had to WORK to get back to the top. Like to scare the stuff right outta me!!! So my point is to everyone ... do be aware that as our body fat decreases, so does our ability to float!!! Don't be taken by suprise like I was!!!
Hugs,
Tammy
Ellen, Way to go girl. Hope you feel as good as you sound. I love the water too. At 4 wks out, when Dr. I said I could go in, that is the 1st thing I did. Got in my suit and walked in the water. No stress on my joints. I still swim at least 5 days a week. Now I do about 30 laps of freestyle and 25 backstroke. It is the closest thing to weightlessness for me. I consider it my desert for being so good. Exercise gives me energy. Hope to see you at the next mtg. Elissa
