Debbie, I am doing fine ... the question of the hour is ... How are YOU doing? Has that that nasty little ulcer started behaving yet? Sorry to hear about the woman thingy rearing it's head now ... if I remember correctly, I had a couple strange cycles, but then settled into a nice and comfortable pattern. Now bout being a woman ... ahhh girl ... I LOVE it! Even if it means dealing with ... well you know. At any rate, I spent way too many years slumping around in whatever fit ... I love doing all the girly things these days. I love shopping, love doing make-up, hair, wearing skirts instead of jeans ... etc etc etc. Heck, I am even carrying a purse these days - a PINK Tinkerbell bag non the less!!! Doesn't get much girlier than that does it? Oh, well yes maybe ... I just bought pink Hello Kitty with tje cutest little bow on the side, sunglasses just for fun!!! Cause ya know ... girls just wannna have fun! Right? Never in a million years would I have ever pegged myself a girly girl - until just recently that is ... go figure ... but I am loving every single minute of it! Continue taking good care of yourself chickie!!! Hugs and Tammy

Tammy, I use to think I was a girlie girl....but this period thing has to go!!! YUCK. Can you SAY MENOPAUSE NOW! LOL. I love pocketbooks...I am even liking heels again! Although figure is not ready for the spikes just yet! We are still looking at them! Tinkerbell bag sounds so cute. I am hanging in there....I still have alittle pain in the pouch once in awhile now but not as bad as it was. I am trying to redesign foods to eat so I can find out which ones are giving me the problem......So much fun! I guess I shouldn't complain because it could be worse! I lost another 2 lbs. I am so excited. Finally scaled moved twice in 10 days!!!! A real WOW moment for me. Lots of Hugs! Debbie

Hey Gang! I'm here and alive and well!!! It was a week yesterday that I had the surgery and just now getting back to check emails etc. Ok Here's the latest: No BIG deal with pain. Thank God. I think it was all the prayers and well wishers I haven't really kept this thing a secret. I am quite bruised though, looks like I've been in a mean fight or a bad accident. The bruising is beginning to fade and move lower so my neck and below is a pretty shade of black, blue, green, and yellow. Today I wore my yellow pj's to compliment the shading on my face. I am really tight in the forehead and the neck and for several days resembeled my look prior to WLS. Cheeks puffy etc. My family said it wasn't too bad looking at me because it brought them comfort to see my "old" face back for a few days. I only took pain medicine for about four days. And then only the bare minimum. I think this procedure jump started my big Plateau though. I have lost about five pounds. Fuirst thing I've lost in 14 weeks. Surgery was long but expected. A full eight hours!!! Alot of fine stitching. One of the wonderful things was though when I was having a little anxiety problem while coming out of it (control issues, or lack of control should I say) it was great to have my surgeon who is also a friend speaking very calmly the name of JESUS to me. It still amazes me even after all of these years of being a Christian the Power that is in that name. Just saying the name brought peace to my crazy mind and anxious body. After that it was a breeze. Still not going out in public. I look a little scary. I was really getting buggy and wanted to go out to eat so I had my kids take me to a restraunt that we never go to and was one of those senior citizen places where I could slink in and out without running into alot of questions. I was craving lemon merangue pie. I know!! bad girl!! but I was good and only ate three bites. It must have been rattling around in my subconcious all the discussion we had at one of the last support group meetings about maringue. Go**** tasted good. Well I've rattled on long again. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. I'll be seeing everyone soon. God Bless!!! Mama Mama

You are quite the trooper girl. Can't wait to see your new face. MMM lemon merange pie. I think I might have to have a bite of one soon. Sounds like you breezed through the surgery. I kept thinking of you all that day and praying for your quick recovery. Glad to hear about the plateau breaking down again too. So glad you are posting. Good to hear from you. TT you soon. Elissa

Girl, you are a hoot!!! Thanks for the chuckle!!! BTW - I have an adorable pair of purple Jammie's that might match quite well, should you need to color coordinate that shade!!! Ohhhh, your lemon meringue has my mind spinning. Check this out ... ff cottage cheese sf lemon pudding (dry) splenda to taste a splash of lemon juice mix until smooth in blender make a sf meringue to top it off .... OHHHH YUMMY!!! Think I am gonna give this recipe a whirl as soon as I hit the grocery again!!! Okay, coming back down to reality ... Thanks so much for popping your smiling (albeit yellow, blue, purple and multi other colors) face in here!!! It is good to hear from you and especially good to know you are home and doing well! Please continue taking good care of yourself. Hope to see you soon! BTW - prayers are still being lifted for you sweetie!!! Give that wonderful doc of yours a big ole hug!!! A man like that is worth more than rubies and gold Hugs & Tammy

Tammy, Where do you come up with these great recipes? I am going to get someone to hit the store for me TODAY! I don't cook alot but since I'm home I'll give it a whirl. I do cook, can cook, like to cook but just don't cook, due to convenience and time restraints etc. Elissa brought those dynamite nuts to a meeting, and also made those oatmeal bars. Both were so yummy. I never copied the oatmeal bars so if you have time could you post it again? I eat oatmeal, raisens and nuts every day. They would be great to have in the freezer for an on the go meal. Here I am on a Sunday morning posting. I don't usually get a chance to do that. Maybe I'll even start cooking today. I truly am getting bored, but don't want to go too far into public. Everybody agreed it wouldn't be a good day to go to church. It would cause too many "rumors". PAUSE FOR PHONE CALLS Just got two calls asking me if I needed anything from the store. One from my brother and another from a friend. Maybe I'll brave it and go with them. I've got my dark glasses and baseball hat, although the hat is a bright pink. Oh no, I hear Kohl's calling too. Can I possibly resist this pull to get out? LOL. Have a great day. I must be feeling better. God bless, Mama
