Hey All, Was wondering if anyone knew of any temporary relieve funds. What I mean is, I have a not so great job, it pays ****ty, it offers no vacation, sick or otherwise. I know i will be out of work for the extended time, b/c my job is dealing with 100lb dogs jumping on me, (and NO, thats not a fun job) I think staying away the longer the better. I have not started to make the phone calls yet, i was thinking unemployment and hudson center (state service building) to start, but does anyone else know who to call, I mean there has to be SOMETHING out there to help people temporarly while unable to work....right??? It just sux i was with a company for 4 years (b4 cut backs) and i was making good money and had sick, vaca, holiday everything and nowwwwwwwww.....BLAH! -Christina

Try Social Security. They have Social Security Disability, based on how much you've paid into the Social Security fund. They also have Supplemental Security Income, base on your income. You might want to see if you qualify for either of those. You can go to their website and look up the information at ssa.gov/disability
