Got my CPAP Finally!!!!
And yes it DOES look rediculous!!!! My hubby just rolls over and giggles at me! Oh well I can't tell if I'm sleeping better yet because I've been sooooo busy at work. It's been really stressful this week and I'm exhausted when I get home. Hubby is happy though. Says I haven't woke him up yet this week so I guess it's working. Went to my podiatrist today for a check up on my plantar faschiatis. Dr. Lawson is terriffic! I highly recommend her if anyone is looking for a foot doc! She is recommending that I go to 4 weeks of physical therapy. There's still some inflammation that the cortizone didn't help and I'm still having daily pain. But luckily it is not as severe as before. Normally she would recommend 1 more shot but I'm too close to surgery and she doesn't want to mess with that. She wants me to be as close to 100% as possible before my surgery so I will be able to walk as much and as far as I can post-op! Does anyone have any recommendations of a PT that's in the BCBSDE PPO network?

Dee, I've had my cpap for over 8 yrs. I just went to be re-evaluated. My setting has gone from 10 to 7. I still have apnea events. I hate the mask sometimes too, but I do sleep much sounder with it. My hubby tells me I don't stop breathing anymore. I don't snore as much either. He always had to kick start me to get the breathing going again. LOL.
Can't help you with the PT. Never been. I did have both feet operated on for Plantar's warts about 25 yrs ago. Talk about pain. The Dr that did it barely numbed my foot. When he cut into my foot I kinda jerked (in pain) and he yelled at me to keep still and stop acting like a baby. I changed Podiatrist soon after that.
Sounds like you are doing all the necessary pre-op stuff to get yourself in order. You'll do fine. I have bad knees. I did water therapy aroebics as soon as 1 month was up. It saved my life along with the WLS. Now I can do about 50 laps and the water aroebics. I have come such a long way over the past 17 months. Oh I almost forgot I added in nautalis eq & the elyliptical cross trainer too. I alternate those two exercises. This all coming from a person who could hardly walk the grocery store anymore. It used to do me in.
You're getting down to the last stretch. Try to stay focused & positive. Keeping a seat on the Looser's bench warm for you. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Thanks Elisssa! You're such a sweetie! I'll see you on Sat. Anybody heard from Gigi lately? I hope she'll be there on Sat too. She seems like a blast! And I'll actually have time to do something afterward this time. Hubby has a fishing tournament and little one is at her dad's for the weekend, so I'm FREE!!!! (actually, I really miss chelsea when she's at her dads so I try to keep myself occupied!)
