I'm on my way

I just had my consult today with Dr. Irgau. I really like him and his staff. I finally got to meet Nicki. Dr. Irgau was so easy to talk to. I took my husband for support. He asked alot of questions that I may have forgot. When I got home I made all of my appointments that I needed to do. I'm still a little nervous but alot of it went away today after my appointment. Does anyone live in the MOT area of Delaware? It would be nice to meet someone that is going through this that lives local. Thanks.

I don't live down there but my step-daughters live in Middletown so I'm down there all the time. Dee

That's great Dineen. Maybe we can meet up sometime. I dread making the weekly trips to the PMRI meetings in Wilmington. I hate driving as it is. But it's for a good reason and I am determined to do whatever is necessary to feel better...physically and mentally. Sharon

Hi Dianne...thank you for your support. I am actually getting excited. I've only told a couple of family members so far but I want to tell all now. My family lives up in Philadelphia and New Jersey so I don't see them all too often but I have talked to my mother. I know shes happy for me. We just lost my father from complications from obesity and diabetes. That is what made me make my decision. I am just like him. I'm doing this for him too. Thank you Bonnie....I would love to keep in touch with you. Your not that far away. Everything has gone smooth so far but its just the beginning. I don't get to upset with things. Life is too short to worry about things. You just have to find another way. I just hope I don't have to. I have BCBS PPO and everything I've read here is good about them. I hope so. The only thing I dread is the drive up to the PMRI meetings. It's so far away for me. But it has to be done. Maybe I can find someone to carpool with when I get there. My first meeting is on 6/21.
