support meetings

Hi, I'm new. I was wondering where there are support meetings for DE. I have just started the ball rolling to have surgery. I would like to attend a couple of meetings. I know in PA there is one in Chester at CCMC next week. I may try to attend that one . It looks like I missed the one for DE . It's nice to meet everybody. I know I will have lots of questions as the time progresses. Sandy

Sandy...Welcome! There is a support group meeting Monday June 6th from 7-8 pm at PMRI ( which is 3506 Kennett Pike [intersection of routes 52 and 100] ). The topic Gastric bypass: The first three months. Dr. Irgau will be the speaker. Hope you can make it. Ellen

????? Is there like some secret list of meetings (time, place) ..HAHHA I never seem to know when they are until the day b4 (you all start talking about em') and then i gotta work or something. Is the cost $5/per person? -christina

One note that the lovely staff at the PMRI failed to mention to me (and a few others I might add). If you paid for the WLS program for surgery at the PMRI facility for surgery at Christiana Hospital ($1200) your meeting fees are included in that payment for the first 5 years. I didn't know that, luckily Ellen mentioned it to me so I could go back and get my check back. Dee
