What do you have engraved on them? The fact we had a gastric bypass or no NSAIDS or feeding tube allowed? I would like to get one just in case. On a better note, I am struggling with eating. A lot seems to want to make me dump, but am learing too. I try the protein first and go from there. I went to the doctor for a free blood pressure check and with no medicines and being 8 weeks out of surgery, I lost 96 pounds so far and the BP was 120/70 !!! ( the check was Wednesday) Thanks for your responses in advance !!!!!! Joe Hutter Dover, DE

Joe, Congrats on the BP and weight loss. At this rate you will be the fastest Looser I know. Medic alert msg. Keep it simple. try (WWW)LaurensHope.com. They have nice things at a moderate price. GASTRIC BYPASS NO NG TUBE/SUGAR NO NASIDS/ASPRIN DR'S NAME & PHONE# 8 weeks out is still a newbie. At 4 wks out everything I put in my mouth made me foam. Foaming is a mini-dumping episode. Even 1 teaspoon full. I told the Doctor and they did an EGD and stretched my stoma that had constricted. I had problems with eggs, chicken and hamburger. Unless it had tons of juice or gravy on it I had problems with these 3 things for about 6 months. I'd keep trying them every 2 or 3 weeks until I could finally keep them down. You're doing it right. Protein 1st. I still drink 2 protein drinks a day. I mix unflavored Unjury in crystal light. I do oatmeal with flaxseed in it for breakfast. (Keeps me regular too.) I use skim Carb countdown milk and splenda. It has a lot of protein in it. I have a half can of Progresso beef pot roast soup for lunch or tuna salad. I mix this up with other favorites. I skip breads, pasta and rice. They make me feel terrible. I get a heavy feeling in my chest when I try them. Anyway Joe, Keep up the good job. Post and let us know how you are doing. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Great Going Joe, I thought I was a suppper starrrr because I lost 35 in a month. But 96 in 2 months you are the mannnnnn. You need to have on your med necklace : NO NSAIDS, NO FEEDING TUBE,NO SUGAR, AND DATE OF SURGERY (OPTIANL). But you are doing great. I wish I could say I have lost 96lbs already. Take care. Hey if you know any one who needs a recliner send them to Tracy Thompson at La-Z-Boy in Newark. Thanks Take Care, Tracy

Does onyone know where to get just the tag (with the holes on either side for a bracelet)? I want my mom to re-do my "Colors of Christ" bracelet that she made for me for christmas with the tag. It's really beautiful and she made it with the real crystals and sterling silver beads. I used to wear it all the time but my wrist got too fat for it and I was worried that I'd break it and loose the crystals. It would be perfect for the medic alert tag. Then I would have to wear it all the time! Dee

Thanks for all the information. I think that no matter how much research you do, you can never learn it all after the surgery is done. I am glad all of this is "normal" and we are all so different, but thanks for all of the tips and well wishes. I am pretty much positive motivated and I really try to heal quickly and get out and be active and walk and stuff and even do some yard work, so I hope the weight keeps falling quickly like it has been. I will have another update Wednesday after I see Dr Smoot. I also bought some of those protein bars made by EAS and they are so much better than those yucky shakes !!! Have a great week and I am ordering my tag today !!! Joe Hutter
