Enjoy Mother's day! Don't look at it as not eating a steak for a long time or ever...because you are putting a negative spin on your positive event! I know me if its negative I am trying to make it positive! Think of it as a vacation from steak......You may be able to eat it again after 6 months or so or you may find a substitute food you like better....I did it is called Pork! For some reason my tastes have changed and steak/red meat stuff don't appeal to me much anymore but I have cravings for Pork Tenderloin. Never cared for it before! Keep us posted on your progress Mary! I am sure Gigi will send in the clowns for ya!

Congratulations Mary Ann! About the steak ... it was one of those things that I could eat earlier than later! Steak was far easier on me than ground beef, chicken and eggs! Go figure ... I don't think there has been one time that steak have given me any grief. And it is one of my most favorite foods now. As a matter of fact, I had grilled steak for lunch, leftover steak for dinner today. YUM!
I think the last meal being a protein meal will help with your blood sugar to help keep them even, so hopefully that will help you avoid cravings and thus make your clear liquids a bit easier.
