Hey guys, I'm Here!

Thanking everyone for their well wishes. My home computer is fried, I am at the library with my son and decided to post here. I miss you all terribly. Haven't been able to post and chat with the newer people nor keep up with all you others, for that I am bummed. I thought I'd add a little to what Tammy so graciously posted for me earlier. I had been having some discomfort (hate to say I'm in pain) for a few weeks. I figured if it was anything important or bad, that it'd be too unbearable so I ignored it. Then Sun 4/10 it became unbearable, and I called the docs, Dr Wynn said go to ED. I was admitted in the middle of the night Sunday, and Dr Irgau rounded Mon am and said there is something on the cat scan and he had to get in there and see what was going on as my level of pain was so high and my wbc's were elevated. So off to surgery I go. I was hypotensive and the anesthesiologist worked diligently to get my bp up safe enough to have surgery. When I woke up, after thanking God and Dr Irgau, Wynn and Peters I learned that I had diverticulitis that caused an infection in my colon. They removed an infected abscess from in there. They had to open me this time. I spent the rest of the week in the hospital, and released that Friday 4/15. While recuperating, I developed a dvt (blood clot) in my left leg - knee to groin. I was at risk for pulmonary embolism so they admitted me for a few days. I'm giving myself shots at home now and hoping my blood gets within therapeutic range so I can get back to work next week. Doing well, now. *** My cell phone just rang, Elissa just called me from Hawaii, how funny is that! Missing everyone and hoping to see you all soon. CHRIAS Rocks, for sure. Dianne
