Warning to anyone with BC/BS through the PEBTF State Employee Fund

As of April 1, they no longer cover any weight loss surgical procedures. Of course, the information does not become available until AFTER the April 1 pre-cert deadline. Which was completely wrong and somehow shady, I think. Anyway, when I called BC/BS Personal Choice PPO, they were not aware ( I had heard through the work *grapevine) and had to call Harrisburg to get clarification on it before giving me a definitive answer. I'm glad I learned now, since I need time to get on my husband's insurance policy (which should pay, thank goodness) rather than getting a date and getting a big fat NO. Kim
