I don't know which is worse: the angst of waiting for the surgery to be over and her to be back in her room, or the pure agony of leaving her alone at the hospital tonight - it was SO HARD to leave her there. Ugh. Oh the flip side, Dr. Wynn said her surgery went just fine with no complications. She was pretty loopy tonight, with or without the nice pump! She seems to be doing really well, and I think even surprised the nurse when she said her pain was 0 and she hadn't hit the pump in over an hour. Before I left she even managed to do 2 laps around on her first time out of the gate! I'm so proud of her!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to all for your continued and tireless support, it's so wonderful and means the world to both of us. Whew - I'm pooped!!!

Jen, I am so glad to hear everything went so well. Joni will be much better tomorrow. It is amazing how quickly we bounce back when there are no complications. Get a good nights sleep. I'll bet Joni will. I am going to stop by tomorrow and to say hello and welcome her to the losing side. Penny

Thanks for the update, Jenn. I'm glad she did so well. And, I'm really impressed that she was able to do 2 laps on her first day! She is going to do fine and will be home before you know it. I'm glad that everything worked out okay and she was able to get her surgery done. Keep us posted, Donna
