WLS, Pain Meds and an Empty Pouch

So my pain meds say, "if this upsets your tummy take with crackers." Well it's never upset my tummy. So in the middle of the night last night when I was so uncomfortable (I blame the sneeze) I couldn't sleep I took some. On a very empty pouch. Lemme tell you... DON'T DO THAT! 5 minutes later I passed out cold. 2 mins after that I came to on the floor beside my bed. Holy Moly. So all you new post-ops and pre-ops, this may not happen to you, but you may want to think twice about it Get something in your pouch first! I figured it was the combination of empty pouch and pain meds. I spoke to Dr. Peters about it today at my 2 wk post-op appt. He agreed. Gigee.... not gonna do that again! whew!
