The Good Stuff
Last night I got to experience one the of the very best parts of surgery and that is meeting new friends. This last year has brought me so many opportunities to connect with people, something I avoided for a long time due to my weight. I went to Starbucks and had coffee with Joni and Jennifer, let me tell you, two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I had a blast and we talked for 2 hours, the time totally flew!
I would encourage everyone to reach out and say hello to someone, you just might make a new friend....or two! It's been such a diverse group of people over the last year and a half. Amazing how we are all so different, yet share what is to be a life changing event. I learn something from each and every one of you, so to all the people I've met along the way, if I haven't told you lately, I appreciate each and every one of you and am glad you're part of my life

Linda,
Sounds like alot of fun at Starbucks. I feel the same way...I have met the best bunch of people these last 10 months. Its funny how I can't remember talking to many people before surgery.....I never thought of myself as a hermit but perhaps the shedding of the pounds found a nicer person.
I enjoyed our class together. I learned alot that day...I wi**** was more than one week. There are so many things I want to work through and working alone is no fun but as a group its a hoot!
We are all so unique and that is a good thing! Glad you had a good time. You are a good person...and keep up the good work! You look so good.

Well said!!!
But I am a tad bit surprised to read that you went to Starbucks instead of the grand place we stopped by last time. Perhaps you could have gotten the 2 for 1 - free show with coffee purchase again??? And maybe even gotten some more brownie points with a special bonus from the manager on duty
Sorry, just couldn't resist ...
Hugs,

Linda,
Thank you so much for your beautiful post. I certainly enjoyed meeting you and picking your brain. Seeing you a year post-op, doing so well, and looking so wonderful, really helped put my mind and heart at ease.
Thank you again so much. I look forward to doing it again!
Jennifer
Awwwww...(sniff, sniff)....how sweet is that?
i feel exactly the same way, babe. like i was saying in an earlier post (i know, i know, i've become repetitive), that even if i never made it to the 'ol century club, i am thrilled with what i have accomplished over the last year--and i COULD NOT have done it without the wonderful and unconditional love and support of all my amos buddies. u guys are truly awesome and i've learned so much from each and every one of u.
now 'cuse me...i need a moment. (sob)
c'ya, chickie!
