Hi all, I just found out that my best childhood friend has breast cancer. She will have an operation on April 8th, which just happens to be her 39th birthday. Her husband is also battling stomach cancer. Please keep them in your prayers. I'm really struggling with this. I can't seem to get my thoughts together. As always, thank you for your support. Best wishes, Deb

Hi Debbie, I'm so sorry to hear about your friends and the tough times they face right now. it's sometimes very difficult to wrap our heads around the why's of things that happen to good people. They have a good friend in you, and I know that will go a long way in easing their bad times. Hang in there. Linda

Hi Deb, You and your friends are in my prayers. I found a new blessing with this WLS. I have signed up for the May 8th Race for the Cure in Philadelphia. I just hope I can complete the 5K - "Fun Walk". Trust in prayers, Jen

Deb, (((HUGS)))) My heart truly aches with you on this. I have been through this several times with friends and family members and it is so hard and heart retching. Trust that you and your friends will be heavy on my heart and in my prayers. Could you email me their names privately and I can add them prayer lists across the nation of pastors who take these requests and earnestly pray for folks in need? It always helps me to know when I have a whole band of prayer warriors lifting my personal needs up before the Lord, perhaps that will help to give you strength and comfort and thus help you regain your focus? Remember Deb, to continue to take care of yourself, it can be so easy to drop the all the balls that you have been juggling when something like thi****s us. So hang onto your routine as much as possible and keep your health a main priority so you can remain strong to help your friends. Sorry to preach, but I just know from personal experience how easy it is to simply drop everything when hit with such news. One more thing, just to hopefully help you keep the faith. A girlfriend of mine has been struggling for the past couple of years with advanced breast cancer, she has went through surgery and several rounds of full treatment and all that goes with it. The good news is ... her doc just gave her very encouraging news ... the are cautiously optimistic that she has a full life ahead of her. I also have several ladies in our church who 10+ year survivors of breast cancer. It can be done Deb ... He is a miracle working God and is still preforming many, many miracles today. Hold tight that faith. Trust that you have been in my prayers and will continue to be there. If you ever need to an ear, anytime, day or night, please feel free to call me. I have been through both sides of this cancer. Love ya! Tammy
