Lost a week
Good morning this morning. How are you this morning? Fine morning this morning. Good morning.
I went to drama rehearsal last night thinking we had another week to prepare for our scheduled ministry trip to Delaware Corrections Center only to discover that we go on Thursday! Aaaargh! I am so far behind and need to get so far ahead. . .
At any rate, I was delighted to step on the scale this morning and see that I'm down 108.6 pounds since my surgery on June 29, 2004 and I'm 144 pounds down from my highest weight.
I've started eating a high fiber breakfast (1/4 cup of Go-Lean and 1/4 cup of bran with a half-cup of skim milk). I "snack" on nuts and raisins (pecans, almonds, pine nuts and some walnuts. I've been pressing to get to Curves three times a week, but that's a battle. I do need to get this excercise thing under control! I'm still 50 to 70 pounds away from my goal, but I'm heading in the right direction. Also, my hair doesn't seem as thin this week as it was before, but that could be my imagination.
By the way, if you want to read a story I wrote for the Delaware Business Ledger about options for those who were WLS patients in Seaford, visit http://www.ncbl.com/03-05downstate.html . . . I have my first visit with Dr. Smoot in Havre de Grace on March 30. I'd better start putting together my questions.
By the way, how soon is too soon to start considering/researching plastic surgery? How much time should be allocated for recovery? Or have we had that discussion?
AND by the way again, if you want to spend an unusual evening viewing an entertainment with a message, check out God's Power and Light's production of ENCOUNTERS AT HEAVEN'S GATES at the Everett Theatre in Middletown this weekend. Show times are 7:30 on Friday and Saturday evenings and 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Tickets are $6 in advance and $7 at the door. The cast has been working with a sword master for nine weeks to prepare for the fight scenes. I wrote the script in 1999, so I'm eager to see its performance. I plan to be at all three performances. If you're interested in tickets, call Cheryl Shields at (302) 378-7994.
I apologize for the long post. Have a wonderful day.
Bye

Diane,
So good to hear all is well with you! How exciting about the production! You go! And thanks for the link to your article. I enjoyed reading it!
About the reconstructive surgery, I have always been told that for best results wait until you have hit goal and/or been at a steady weight for a while. But I dont' know for sure ... have you checked out the Plastic surgery forum? Everyone there has been through it or are going through it. http://www3.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/plasticsurgery/posts
Hugs,
Tammy
