OT - Prayers needed

We sure need some prayers. This has been an interesting day. Got a call about 1:30 at work from my son. Seems someone broke into our home. Neighbor called my son who works next door so he went running to the house. Caught them in the act, 4 of them. They took off. He recognized one of them as a friend of a co-worker. Realized that they had been in the store moments before they came to the house. He called the police, they did a report and got the guys pictures off the cameras in my son's shop. My son also called his co-worker who said he was going to get our stuff back for us yada yada yada. An hour later my son called me back. Scared to death. I've never heard my son scared like that. We live in the city. We live in the hood. Snitches don't do well in the hood and it seems that the word is already out on the street that my son is a target for being a snitch. HE called his co-worker back and told him we don't want our stuff, we just want peace. My son advised me to tap into my friends and find a place to stay for a few days. I have done that. But first, I sit at home until my son can get off work and we get a new door and lock put on the house. I will not leave my house wide open. So I sit here guarding our stuff. We'll replace the door and lock tonight then we'll go on to our separate friend's homes to stay for a few days while this blows over. It is my prayer that this will be a non-event. Please join me in that prayer. I promise to keep in touch. Gigee

Gigee, How scary. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Don't let those pucks make you give up all you have worked so hard for...walk away from the cigarettes Hope you will still be able to come on Saturday. Thinking of you, Ellen

How like the guilty to try and turn the tables on the innocent. Lord, send your angels around Gigee and her son to both protect and defend them. Deal with those who violated their home and stole their peace. Use their situation to stir the wrath of their neighborhood for righteousness. Raise them up from victim to victor during this their hour of need. And in all this we give you the praise, the honor and the glory, in your holy, precious and powerful name. Amen. Not only will we continue praying for safety, but we will also pray that through this that the situation in your neighborhood be turned around. Your son did not snitch. He reported a violation of your home. These thugs have no right to come and go in your home at their will. May the peace that passes all understanding pervade your entire being and that of your son's in this your hour of need. Diane Cook

Dear Gigee- It makes no sense, sometimes...one thing tumbles in after another. Please call if you need anything or another place to stay; we haven't much but we have it to share. We're praying for your safety and for your peace of mind and for the desperate, sorry people who did this that their greed wanes and that violence departs them. Please, again, don't hesitate to call either the house or my cell if there's ANYTHING I can do...including calling if you need to go back to your home and you're not quite ready to go alone yet. Much love, S
