I just wanna I am so upset. I found out my hemoglobin A1C is 9.5 today so the nurse practitioner said that I am more than likely going to have to be put on insulin and then we will see, but that my surgery date is probably, very more than likely going to be moved up to a late date. Well, I guess I should have been doing a better job with my diet, instead of being a bad girl! I am trying now and have been for the last week and lost 7 pounds, but my blood sugars are still off the hook. Here is what I am hoping happens. Dr. Hundal puts me on Insulin and then I am adjusted with a couple of weeks, that is if there is a nearby and can still keep the date. If not, I will just have to keep on keeping on, dangit. NO MORE CARBS for me. I am doing strictly protein from now til whenever. I am staying away from all refined carbs for sure. I could just kick myself because I knew my sugar was out of control, but it is just so hard Pink

Pink, Dr. Hundal is my doctor also and even though I have diabetes for 18 years, I have many times been out of control and feeling like you for being so "stupid" I had another doctor for years and just changed to Dr. Hundal a couple of months ago when I started researching WLS. He got me back on the right track very quickly. My A1c went from 9.8 to 7.4 in no time at all. Just be patient and trust me taking Insulin is not that bad, although I am looking forward to getting off of it after my surgery, I hope. If you want to talk some more just email me. ((hugs)) Ellen
