I had my one month checkup today with Dr. Peters and I am down 30 lbs not bad for one month out. I am back to work it is hard because I am feeling very tired but that is all normal I am told. I am getting in all my vitamins, protein, water and exercise so I feel great about that. I only have one problem I am developed a rash all over my body that itches like crazy I have been taking liquid benadryl but that does not help Dr. Peters told me to call my primary Dr. so he can call something in for me so I will be calling there first thing in the morning. I can tolerate everything except for salmon I tried it twice and both times it may me dump and that is not fun so no more salmon for me.

Hey Michelle, Good job I was at the drs today also and I saw you were there early this morning. I am down 28 pounds. Everything is going well for me also. I know the dumping syndrome really sucks huh? Well I am so glad to see things are going well. I keep meaning to call but then I turn around and find something else that needs to be done. Talk to you soon. Christie

God job Micelle. Keep up the good work. Sounds like you are following the program by doing the vitamins and protein water & exercise. Sorry you had to go back to work so soon. Keep an eye on the rash. Wonder if it's an allergic reaction to something? I know 2 people that recently have had shingles. It is easily medicated. So follow up with your primary ASAP. As for the salmon, try it again in a month or so. Some foods you can't tolerate in the beginning, but as time goes you will be able to try them again and be okay. If not then move on to something else. I like Haddorck or Scrod. Less fishy taste. High in protein low in fat and calories. Try to stay focused & positive and keep posting so we'll know how you are doing on your journey. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Been there and itched that! Its very unpleasant. I was told by the Dr. its a reaction to the anthesticia. My PCP prescribed Ketoconazole cream. I used several tubes before it went away so see if your PCP can give you a couple refills. I had it all under breast area, both sides of my trunk, under the belly...it was yucky! Glad you are doing well and do get your PCP on the phone. OTC drugs won't do anything for this ra****ried it all even buttermilk baths. Debbie

Michelle - Congrats! I was tired weeks 5 & 6 and then seemed to glide into things. I also started work at 4 weeks out. And the only time I've gotten sick and dumped (I think I have the sleepy version of dumping..), was on Salmon! UGH! Haven't tried it since. I had decided that I needed high protein that night (it was the night of week 5!) and decided on Salmon - it just did not sit right! Of course, I've only eaten it a few other times... Oh well..better luck next time, huh? Keep up the good work! Valerie
