Hello everyone, I was officialy 1 month post op on 2/25. This is my question: Are there days at this point that you can remember not feeling well. I think I may have a headache, and it seems to throw my whole body out of whack. If anyone remembers, do you remember what you did when you felt like this? I am stressed and I think of days I feel like this, I question the whole part of surgery as to did i do the right thing because I hate feeling like this. Feeling down in the dumps, Christie

Christie - What I remember about 1 month out, is I returned to work, I was EXHAUSTED and just wanted to sleep. I thought it odd as I had felt SO good the 1st month...walking, figured out how to get 80 grams of protein in each day, had my fluid intake to a min of 55 oz a day....then BOOM! What I found out is, the body goes into 'starvation' mode. All of a sudden, the body catches up with the mind and realizes you aren't feeding it what you were...so, yes, what you are going through is 'normal', at least for you. We all experience slightly different feelings, etc at this point and mostly, I just wanted to sleep. I didn't have headaches (unless it was that time of the month - when I also got VERY yucky and didn't want to eat...), but I struggled through for two weeks, when things got back to an even keel. So, best of luck through the next few weeks. I know you'll do fine! Keep smiling! Valerie

Christie, I get the headaches now...I really believe its from the weather and they pass. The feeling is yucky I agree. I don't take anything for it I try and let it pass. It does... Feeling down in the dumps is normal at one month. Our bodies are so whacked it does not know what is happening. Eventually the body will kick it up a few notches and things will be better again. Hey Christie, I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling bad. I'm worried too, as you know I'm only one week behind you. Do you have these feelings all day long, after you eat ... when? I have noticed this weekend I don't have much energy at all. I have to force myself to get out of bed and do something. I just vacuumed the whole house and I feel a lot better now. I hope I'm not getting into the same thing ... I'll keep in touch with you if I start to feel the same type of thing ... Kristen

Hi Christie! I didn't have a problem with headaches but I did have low energy. Please make sure you're getting in enough fluids and protein. Also, I felt tons better once I switched my multivitamin to Centrum chewables. If something is really causing you concern, please call the doctor. Better safe than sorry. Hope you're feeling better very soon! Cassandra

Hang in there -- it's just your body catching up with the weight loss and it thinks it's starving. It will pass before you know it and you will feel wonderful. Just remember to take your vitamins and supplements, esp the B12 for energy. Move around and get your exercise. We all have been through something similar -- this too shall pass! Hope you feel better soon! ! ! Brenda
