Desperate need "HELP" for my mother

I am very concerned for my mother who has been fighting a weight problem for many years. I can't rememeber the last time she was able to walk down the hall in the house without using her oxygen. She hasn't be able to drive a vehicle in approximately 12 to 15 yrs. Her health is fading fast and she has been on oxygen for many years, diabetic, congestive Heart failure, high blood pressure. About 1 1/2 yrs ago she had a tracheotomy done and she has been in the hospital more than ever with problems since. The doctors have been trying to convince her to have the gastric bypass surgery done. She is frighten (scared to death) but she also has heard terrible things about it. I can't help but think that she would be much better off if she had it done. I would do anything to see my mother be able to walk and go to the store and enjoy her grandchildren once again. When she is home she doesn't even want anyone to push her around the block in a wheelchair. She stays inside cooped up looking at the same four walls the she has been for the last 20 or more years. I need survivors and others to maybe help me convince her the the gastric bypass would benefit her. I live in michigan and I can't go home everytime she ends up in the hospital and this last year has been about avery other week.
