Its one year for me!!! where did the time go?

Wow..I just looked at the date..Its officially one year since surgery for me! Where did all the time go? I'm soooo glad I did this! My life has changed dramatically for the better..for the healthier! I still have about 25lbs to lose..which have been more difficult. But, you know what..I feel normal..all my neighbors are trying to lose that last 20 as well...and its just nice just fitting in...and not standing out so much like I did in the past. Yesterday, I went to purchase some capris for warmer weather..after I had to remember to not go the the plus size section(isn't that so hard!!!)I picked up a large..then eyed it a bit..and thought..why not try on the Medium..and low and behold..the medium fit! I have never, ever, ever been a medium in anything! I still have the body image issues..I still see myself as 300+ pounds..but I'm learning to get acquainted with myself..but it will take some time. I'm hoping to get a tummy tuck in April and maybe when the apron is gone..I will feel like I lost my stomach..we'll see. To all of those newly post-op or pre-op..wow..just remember its tough in the beginning but..time does go fast..and what a wonderful present you give yourself! This was the first time...I really did something for me..and wow..it was the best thing I ever did for me! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Kimberly

Hey Kim, You have done an awesome job girl. WOW. I give you a lot of credit, having little ones, going through WLS, moving to Texas. That's alot in a year to go through. You have managed to succeed on your journey and continue to your goal. What's 20 more lbs, nothing in comarison to what you have already done this past year. Keep up the good job. Tummy tuck in April, wow you are ambitious. I'm gonna wait for at least another year. Course I still have 50 lbs more to loose. It's going slower now, but it's still coming off. I'm not in any hurry. I can cover the majority of it with clothes for now. Take care and stay healthy. Elissa
