Hello everyone in the Delaware message board! I am a post-oper, Feb. 1 was the big day! I've been reading your posts for the past 4-6 months as I went through the process to have the surgery and it took me this long to set up a profile, etc. I just wanted you all to know how much you inadvertently supported me as I had my worries and doubts, just by being yourselves!! You are all wonderful, beautiful people and I can't wait to meet you all in person! I am down 21 pounds so far and can't wait to see myself on Feb. 1, 2006!! I am interested in going to the PMRI meeting on Saturday -- what time does it start? Again, keep up the good stuff you are doing for people all over Delaware who may be "just thinking" about doing this for themselves. I haven't ventured to the main message board to read the negative stuff and I don't think I will. You guys and your positive thinking and straightforward, honest answers are all I need. Hi Kristen. Good for you. Posting the 1st time can lead to addiction. The meeting on Saturday starts at 10AM. Be sure to get there early. Sounds like there is gonna be a big turnout. Make sure you introduce yourself. I'll be the one with the big smile and a tan. Elissa

Welcome Kristen and congrats! I'm not sure yet if I can make the meeting tomorrow..if so...hey, I look the same as the picture here! Keep up the good work, glad to hear my friends here on the board were able to lend you support and encouragement, even 'blindly'. Valerie

Kristen, Welcome, and congratulations! Your post is a real encouragement right back. Thank you for sharing. About the meeting, you will find a wonderful bunch of people just waiting to befriend you - just make sure you make yourself known to them by introducing yourself. Otherwise they most likely will not be able to pick you out of the crowd ... and from how it sounds ... there is going to be a big crowd. At any rate, I am sure they would hate to miss meeting you. Hi Kristen! I, like you, lurked in the boards for a while before my surgery (on Feb. 2nd!!) and found lots of encouragement. I plan on going to the meeting on Saturday too, so I hope to meet you there! Congrats on the weight loss, and keep up the good work ! Hugs, Bertie
