Hi guys! Thanks for all the e-mails!
Hi everyone, I'm home and doing GREAT! I can't believe it! It must be all the thoughts and prayers everyone was sending up on my behalf, which I cannot begin to explain how it did my heart good. (and I didn't even go in for heart surgery!) My mom was visiting and just left, so now it's time to do it on my own. It was great to see her, though and just hang out like girls. I didn't find out I was officially approved until 4:36 p.m the day before surgery so I really didn't have a chance to get nervous, but I sure am happy now!! (I also just realized how to get those awesome little faces that everyone uses!) OK, I'll try to stop now!
I know I'll have my bad days just like everyone else, but I figure if I enjoy the good days to the hilt, even the bad ones won't seem so bad!
Hugs,
Bertie
P.S. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU AGAIN EVERYONE WHO SENT E-MAILS AND CALLED!!!! !
Hey Bertie,
Welcome home!!! You definitely have the right attitude. Staying positive helps you get through some of those tough days. Also remember that those tought days are just a reminder that you got different plumbing so you need to behave differently. Keep walking, talking, drinking fluids, chewing vitamins, and getting in that protein. And by the way welcome to the postie world.
Rob
