Cheap(er) Isopure

Hi folks, I was at GNC at the Christiana Mall yesterday and with a GNC Gold Card you can get bottles of Isopure for less than two dollars and fifty cents a peice--not hugely cheap, but the difference adds up. We can get them for about three dollars a bottle at the doc's office, but usually at GNC they sell for about three fifty a bottle. This sale goes on into March. Thought I'd let anyone know who was using these! I think they're fantastic and would add my liquid B-12 to a bottle to combine the tastes. Good Luck! -Susane

Hi Susane, Thanks for sharing. I tried the blue one (forgot the flavor) in our taste testing with PMRI, but I couldn't handle the taste. Do you have any suggestions on a different flavor that may taste better? I think someone at GNC mentioned that one of them tastes like fruit punch. Thanks! AG

The flavors of all of them are a bit strong. I prefer the green to the others. I'm just trying the mango-peach flavor. If you cut the isopure in half with water, you're still packing in 20grams of protein with fluid--it helps if you find the taste overpowering!

Hi Angela, I was in the same life skills class as you, and if I remember it was the green one we tasted. It was apple. This is what I can remember. I was at the Vitamin Shoppe and they sell theres for 3.25 a bottle. They said their best seller was the (RED) which is Alpine Punch and the (BLUE) which is Blue Raspberry I think. Anyway hope this helps. Christie

Sandy/Christie/Susane, Thanks for the feedback. I am going to give them a second chance (think I will stay away from green and blue though). Has anyone ever tried Met Rex RTD 40 canned shakes? They are not too bad when really cold. I like the chocolate and strawberry but there is a slight aftertaste. 15 ozs per can with 40 grams of protein. Price is consistent with Isopure. Take Care, AG

Thanks for the info! Good to know when you want to try different flavors! The Vitamin Shoppe has a case of 12 for $32.50, but they're all one flavor, so you'd definitely need to make a choice! I really like the pineapple/orange/something or other; it has the least aftertaste for me. Hugs, Bertie
