Thanks to all who sent me well wishes....but I am on hold
I want to thank everyone who wished me well on my surgery for 2/1/05. However, it was postponed. I found out at the last minute that I have to use a cpap machine for a couple of weeks and I still clearences pending. I have been making calls to the Doctors offices and so has Misty, the gastric bypass cooridinator for Dr. Wynn (Bless her heart!) At first I was so frustrated with it all, but now I am a little bit more laid back, as I realize that it has always been my impatience that gets me in trouble. I have to have faith that God, in his own time will give me the surgery date that will best work for me. I am going to continue to be encourged by my obisity.com family until I get on the losing side. I am sure after the sugery I will be looking for your support even harder and I hope that I will bring to our family, something that will be encourging to someone else. This is what's it's all about, right?
I'll keep you guys updated of my date, as soon as I get it. Keep me in prayer. Take Care all.
EXCELLENT attitude that will take you very far with this surgery Towanda!!! Oh how I understand the impatience part ... this has really been a struggle for me post-op. I want the weight off NOW, not tomorrow ... etc. Getting that under control pre-op is only going to help serve you well through out your journey.
Continue learning all you can and trusting that God has it all under control. Your best date will be here before you know it. So glad they are getting a handle on the sleep apnea before surgery!!! Use this time to feed your body well, both good foods, plenty of protein and quality vitamins. If you are able to do so, try to get some exercise ... every little bit helps. Also be sure to get good rest. These things will help your body and mind heal easier after surgery. And thus help to make your journey a little easier along the way.
Hugs,
Tammy
