Feeling good!
I just wanted to thank all that sent e-mails and/or called me to make sure that I was doing fine after surgery on 1/18/05. I feel great and am looking forward to going back to work on Feb 22nd (as long as I get the OK from Dr. Wynn) I'm still a bit sore (having open surgery due to my insurance company (a big insurance co) stating that open surgery is the only way to get the surgery approved because Lapo is experimental) Hey, if they want to pay for future problems (hernias) that's fine with me....
I'm down 19 lbs and getting in all the vits, fluids, and protein! Miss all in the LS class!
Hi Jennifer. Congratulations on the 1st part of your journey. That was the easy part. (you'll see) This is the food police. I hear you have been pushing the envelope. Try to develope good habits now and you will be pleased at how this will help you in the long run!!!!!! If you are still hungry, up the protein and water. Keep doing the pureed & chopped food til the month is up. Your pouch still needs to heal. Take advantage of these first 6 months. Trust me on this. You will loose drastically anyway. With the good habits form now, you will continue to loose, a little slower of course, over the next year. Ok, lecture over. Froends? From someone that knows and cares. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Hi Elissa,
Thanks for the advice.
I only eat healthy foods. Must have 7 grams for protein or I add the protein. I need the pureed food more than the chopped at this point. It's the fact that I can not stand pureed cheese so I buy lite soft cheese and take very little bites and chew 15-20 times to really mu**** up.
I have been drinking high protein shakes and smoothies a lot lately and that has helped.
Yes, friends. You're looking out for me and you have the experience that I need to pull from.
Thank you for caring,
Jen
