Eat, eat, eat
Christie, Get to the phone and call the Doctor regarding your depression meds. If you can't take the one maybe he can suggest another. If you are already thinking about eating, you may be in BIG TROUBLE. I bet you can only eat little bits of pureed foods. Don't push the program. It'll work if you stick to it. Try to focus your energy on getting in proteins and your water. I have the tupperware tumbler with a lid on it. Can't smell it with the cover on. Get someone to bring you to the Mall so you can get busy and start walking and call someone for phone support while you can't drive. Email me if you want to talk. I'll send you my phone number.

Hi Christie,
I'm with Elissa on this one. It is absolutely imperative that you get a handle on the situation as soon as you can. Depression can be a tough road, I know, I've been there in the past. Call your doctor, try and get the meds straight and most of all, please try and focus on the things you can control. Measure your food, get your exercise, keep a food journal. Write your feelings down in a journal too. Use this time to address any emotional eating issues that you have, get in to see your therapist, if you don't have one, find one. Call a friend. Do whatever it is you need to do during this time. The beginning of the journey tends to set the tone for the entire trip, so take a deep breath, approach things one step at a time and refocus. You can do it!

Thank you Elissa and LB I also think a big part is that I am home. I hae gotten tons of walking in so that is the good thing and I am not sure if not taking my depression meds, makes me want to eat!
But I will start back on my depression med today to YAY! Hopefully this will help alittle.
Thanks for everything
Christie
Hi Chris,
It's Towanda we were in the same life skills class. I am so glad to know you are out of surgery. Concentrate on all you have gained. You are going to be fabulous. Try to keep focused, I know they tried to prepare us for everything in life skills, but it doesn't always work. Continue to keep God on your menu, he will surely bring you through.
